snowflakes.

i've been on a big winter kick lately.
but living in southern california we dont get much winter.
i'm reallly missing the snow. i went to michigan for xmas break and got a nice kick of it- but dressing for it is super hard when you're not used to it, its only been 3 years and i've lost all sense of layers and sweaters.
heres my grandmas cottage loaded with snow over christmas (up top- i'm still trying to figure out how to make the pics go in between the posts- any tips?)

secret

heres a fact about me... I love sports.
I grew up in Boston and am a HUGE Patriots fan not to mention Red Sox fan.
the patriots had an amazing season considering we lost our beautiful quarterback Tom Brady (who is now engaged- Heart wrenching- see picture above- wow they are beautiful) in the first game.
Anyway, they didn't make it into the playoffs, the Jets of course couldn't pull off the win. But heres to go guys- congrats on a hard fought season.
So I'm drowning my sorrows in wine and watching the Chargers/Broncos game.

sorry  I havent been around lately. I'm finishing up school work with finals craziness and I've decided to redecorate my room, starting with my bed. Here's a picture of my inspiration. I'm a little less than pleased that its Mischa Bartons but shes got a great style regardless of the most recent mishap.

favorites.

2 in a row! Wow!
Here are some old and new FAVORITE looks.
I went shopping yesterday for sunglasses ended up with a rayban wayfarer inspired pair in white for 12 dollars. Anyway while I was in the fancy sunglases shop the seller came up to me and says: "I can tell you're into retro looks. the 70's perhaps?" I just laughed and nodded. Is it that obvious?
Anyway top two images are from a recent issue of Elle or Marie Claire I'm not sure. I just loove the stacks or bangles (as mine clink on my wrist typing away.) and the Boho flowy look.
Third image is one dug out from my journal a fav I found in a European magazine (I think) just such a great mixture of classy and funky and who doesnt love a great pair of high waisted tweed pants.

head-scarf start

Firstly, I want to apologize for the terrible picture. I'm working on getting a new camera because I think the exposure of this one is just off. I had to play with this image on Iphoto for 20 mins to get something presentable. I think this was friday nightish I'm not quite sure. The weather here is amazing for February but not quite that good I had to throw on a long brown sweater later. I started with the headscarf and it went from there seeing as it was one of those nights where there was no way I was going to go through with the whole straighten and blow-dry process.
Top: urban outfitters, it has an amazing cross over back and detailed sleeves, these are things I'm learning to show. Skirt: Brown American Apparel. Head scarf: I cannot remember its a pretty pink and brown mixture Boots: Minnetonka

gloomy day

so the weather changed dramatically and has turned grey and cold therefore I've just been sitting around in leggings and a head scarf nothing spectacular.
I'm debating whether or not to go out so if I do I'll post that outfit. Otherwise I might curl up with a movie.
So instead I searched the sartorialist and found some great pictures of attendees at the Karl Lagerfeld show for Paris Fashion Week. I've gotta learn how to use photoshop better then I can get some cool collages going and my weird artwork.
Enjoy
